For indoor use only, these Domes need no backing. They are
highly reflective and very durable. They offer a clean appearance and mount
directly to any surface, usually a ceiling or wall, with screws thru the
holes in the mounting flange. |

Because they are hollow, they are designed for indoor use (rain and snow can
collect inside them). They can be used outdoors, but only under an overhang
or other protective covering in mild weather conditions. The hardboard
backing covers only one side of the 180° Domes. |

180° ACRYLIC Dome - steel Backed
|
Domes with steel backing are usually used in wet areas
such as Food-processing plants or Car-washes.
Because they are hollow, they are designed
only
for indoor use (rain and snow can collect inside them).
They can be used outdoors, but only under an overhang or other protective
covering in moderate weather conditions. The 20-gauge galvanized steel
backing covers only one side of the 180° Domes.
